Hungary Telecom IPTV Data Center Construction Project - Software Commissioning and System Integration

    Prior to equipment software commissioning and system integration, the TL led product engineers of the team to prepare detailed design documents, configuration parameter tables and configuration scripts for each product based on designs finalized in the solution design phase, including VLAN allocation design, interconnection IP address design, multicast IP address design, routing protocol design, traffic cleansing policy design, software module interconnection design, and firewall allowed/denied protocols/IP addresses/port numbers design.


    If any adjustment to the designs made in the solution design phase is identified during the preparation of detailed design documents, configuration parameter tables and configuration scripts, the TD/TL shall negotiate with corresponding engineers of the Construction Department of Magyar Telekom for modification and filing.

    Software Commissioning Procedures for the IPTV Headend Equipment Room

    1. Based on the integrated version number of the IPTV system, each product TL applies for and downloads the configuration guide of the respective product and distributes it to corresponding product engineers.


    2. Each product engineer performs software configuration and commissioning of the product in accordance with the product configuration guide, detailed design document, configuration parameter table and configuration script.


    Upon completion of software configuration and commissioning for each product, self-inspection and rectification shall be conducted against the corresponding software commissioning self-inspection checklist. System integration can be carried out only after passing self-inspection.


    Internal System Integration Procedures for the IPTV Headend Equipment Room

    1. Integration configuration between internal modules of the IPTV platform

    2. Integration configuration between the IPTV platform and storage devices

    3. Integration configuration between the IPTV platform and aggregation switches

    4. Integration configuration of aggregation switches, security firewalls, traffic cleansing firewalls and egress routers

    Upon completion of the above internal integration configuration, self-inspection and rectification shall be performed against the IPTV headend site integration configuration self-inspection checklist. Then acceptance shall be conducted jointly with the Construction Department of Magyar Telekom in accordance with the IPTV headend site acceptance manual. Only after passing acceptance can integration and interconnection be implemented with Magyar Telekom’s existing video system, network management system, security system and transport network.


    After the completion of integration and interconnection, a selected group of friendly users may be chosen for IPTV terminal equipment (STB) installation and IPTV service trial.

    Trial experience, feedback, fault information and other data shall be collected during the trial period, followed by an evaluation on whether the IPTV service can be officially commercialized and whether optimization of the IPTV system is required.
